John Adams Morgan was born on September 17, , in Oyster Bay on Long Island to Henry Sturgis Morgan[2] and Catherine Frances Lovering Adams.
His mother was the daughter of Frances Lovering and Charles Francis Adams III, the ary of the Navy under PresidentHerbert Hoover,[3] and a descendant of U.S. Presidents John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams.[4] John attended the Groton School, graduating in [5] He then attended Yale University,[6] graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in [5]
